On October 3rd and 4th, 2026, the picturesque town of Sutton will come alive with creativity and artistic expression during the highly anticipated event, "Les rendez-vous Arts Sutton." This marks the 8th edition of the event, which is organized in collaboration with the Town of Sutton and aims to enrich the cultural landscape by showcasing contemporary art in all its forms. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant Fête des couleurs de Sutton, this festival promises to be a feast for the senses, attracting art enthusiasts, families, and visitors from near and far.
Taking place at John Sleeth Park, the event will feature a diverse array of artists from various disciplines, including emerging talents and seasoned professionals. Each artist will have the opportunity to display their work in a 10’ x 10’ tent, creating an inviting atmosphere for attendees to engage with the art and the artists themselves. The event's schedule allows for setup on Friday, October 2nd, providing artists with ample time to prepare and showcase their creativity. With no overnight supervision on Friday, participants can feel secure knowing that their artwork can be safely stored in the gallery overnight. The event will be open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the artistic offerings.
One of the highlights of "Les rendez-vous Arts Sutton" is the recognition of artistic talent through awards such as the Jury Prize of $250 and the People's Choice Award of $100. These accolades not only celebrate the artists' hard work but also encourage community engagement as visitors cast their votes for their favorite pieces. The event is designed to promote local and regional artists, with prominent signage guiding visitors throughout the town to the exhibition venue, ensuring that no one misses out on this cultural celebration.
For those planning to attend, it is advisable to arrive early to fully enjoy the experience. The event promises not only a showcase of art but also a chance to connect with the local community, enjoy refreshments, and participate in various activities. Visitors can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where conversations about art and creativity flow freely. As the leaves change color and the air turns crisp, "Les rendez-vous Arts Sutton" serves as a reminder of the importance of art in bringing people together and fostering a sense of community.
